Lavender: Self-Serve U-Pick starts: July 10th
Blueberries: U-pick starts: July 12th
Elderberries: The demand for retail and our culinary uses in our market/cafe is higher than expected so we are retaining our elderberries this year. Thank you.

We have several varieties of elderberry: Bob Gordon, Wyldewood, York, Ranch, Adams, and Pocahontas . Elderberries ripen at different intervals on each plant.

Once the elderberries are dark purple (almost black), and often the cyme is hanging downwards, they are ripe and ready to be picked.
We will reserve some of our elders to produce elderflowers for picking. They are wonderful for teas, cordials, and elixirs.

Fresh elderberries should be cooked first before consuming to avoid stomach upsets, and their stems and leaves should not be consumed.

Elderberry is a wonderful antiviral and has been studied for its benefits in fighting colds and flus.

Our elderberry varieties ripen in late September into October.
We offer heirloom Blueray, Rubel, and Jersey varieties. These are non-GMO, organically grown, and have been bred over centuries to provide the best, naturally!
Rubel: Its antioxidant levels score almost twice as high as other blueberries! Late-Mid season. Sweet and small berries great for baking.

Blueray: Very large, sweet berries that ripen by mid season.

Jersey: One of the oldest varieties and a popular favorite that arrives late in the season. Sweet, medium-sized berries.
Each variety ripens at different times, so check our blog, Instagram, and Facebook pages to keep up to date on when the blueberries are ready for picking!
Our blueberry varieties typically ripen in July.
"Dilly Dilly", "Phenomenal", and "Grosso" are our favorite varieties that we'll offer for u-pick in 1" bundles.

Phenomenal: A cold hardy variety of lavender that also tolerates high heat and deer. It's well-known for essential oil production and is edible. Great for pollinators and fast growing.

Dilly Dilly: A cold hardy and great selection for cut flowers and crafts. It tolerates heat, drought, and poor, dry soils. Attracts pollinators and repels deer.

Grosso: A French hybrid lavender with rich, fragrant flowers. 'Grosso' flowers, sometimes called "Lavandin," are some of the best for use in perfumes, sachets, and culinary projects, including specialty cocktails.

Our lavender varieties are usually ready for picking in July.
