Here's a fun progress update on my farm from a different perspective! I met most of my goals this year in terms of regenerating soil, planting, well & irrigation, well house, greenhouse, etc! Notice the lush green (even in late fall) in the blueberry field? That's credit to regenerating the soil. Yay for agroforestry and complimentary cultivator crops. It may look "messier" than a typical till & monoculture farm right now but I know investing in our soil quality is best for Mother Earth, our crops, and for you!
I did get my plans pushed back until next spring for building our farmer's market barn due to the barn designer disappearing before the framing plans were finished, but the new architect is finishing my final plans. I have hired my husband, Ron, to be the general contractor and am excited to see the building come to life.
Next year I'll be tackling fabric mulch over the blueberries and the remaining elderberries, planting more rows, running more irrigation lines, building the farmer's market barn and house, and propagating...while working my normal job, ha! Pray for me ;)
